Our Culture Of Continuous Improvement
The culture of striving for continuous improvement is a cornerstone that underpins the values of Soar Build. The monitoring processes involved in assessing our performances involve:

Site Level
All the sites where Soar Build deliver at least one of our core trades are encouraged to undertake the following as a minimum –

  • Weekly communication meetings where quality, progress, health & safety and future programmes are all discussed and contingency plans agreed.
  • Monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) are completed for our respective activities. They relate to all the issues referred to above and are supplemented as required. These include:
    • Level of resource on site
    • Safe working practices
    • Quality of workmanship
    • Number of defects
    • Quality of Supervision
    • Overall time in property
    • Operatives holding correct CSCS card
    • Teamworking with others
    • Cleanliness
    • Correct PPE 

Feedback from this evaluation is monitored by specific clients and where necessary contingency actions are taken.

The performance of all sectors of Soar Build are reviewed on a monthly basis by all members of the Board of Directors and senior management team. Areas of concern are discussed and monitored to ensure the culture of continuous improvement is maintained at all times.

Soar Build personnel have been nominated for awards on a number of occasions over the past three years including:

  • CIOB – Excellence and Quality award winner 2013
  • CIOB – Social Enterprise of the year
  • Yorkshire Forward – Creating Better Futures award
  • Dulux – Apprentice of the Year
  • Nottingham college – Apprentice of the Year
  • CIOB – Training award
  • CIOB – New contractor of the year
