Health and safety

SOAR Build is committed to ensuring the Health, Safety and Welfare of all its employees and it will, so far as reasonably practicable, establish procedures and systems necessary to implement this commitment.

SOAR Build are fully committed to training all new staff via its Health and Safety induction training and regular updates and refresher training to all existing staff.

All our employees either hold a Construction Skills Certification Scheme card or are currently working towards the award. The CSCS card is the award recognized as a mark of Health and Safety competence by the majority of the clients with whom Soar Build has been employed.

Health and Safety reporting is undertaken by all the Directors at each monthly board meeting.

Senior management have undertaken the NEBOSH construction Health and Safety Award.

Tool box talks are held on a regular basis with both our operatives and those of our clients.

COSHH assessments are undertaken for all materials regularly used by Soar Build including plaster, tiles, insulation, renders, adhesive and paints.

Operatives and staff have been involved in a behavioral safety training initiative arranged in conjunction with our partners.

Risk assessment / method statements are provided for all our clients prior to commencing work on any scheme.

The majority of our the Board have undertaken an initiative entitled Directing Safely which was accredited by IOSH.

Working supervisors are trained to SMSTS

All operatives have undertaken asbestos awareness training

SOAR Build are registered and hold a waste carriers license

SOAR Build are CHAS registered

SOAR Build are a member of Constuctionline
